Rosemary Terris
With family roots in New Brunswick, raised in Cape Breton and lived most of her adult life in Prince Edward Island, Rosemary Terris considers herself a true Maritimer.
She started drawing, as many do, at a very young age and with a keen eye for design chose Interior Design as her post-secondary path. That led her into the world of architecture. Holding a diploma in Architectural Technology Rosemary worked for an Engineering Consulting firm in London, ON. Eventually, family ties and the lure of the ocean brought her home to the Maritimes where she accepted employment at Holland College teaching Computer Aided Design in the Architectural and Construction Technology programs.
It was the freedom of retirement that provided time for her to pursue her interest in art. Rosemary currently works in acrylic, watercolour and ink. She considers herself fortunate to have been influenced by and studied under some of the Island’s best artists. Her love of nature, the Maritime’s phenomenal scenery and sunsets as well as her extensive travel opportunities all influence Rosemary’s work.
Rosemary lives in Charlottetown PE with her husband Paul where she enjoys time with family and many cherished friends.
